More than 15 years ago, a dear friend introduced me to gardening.  I wasn’t really sure if gardening was for me so..I started with a small raised vegetable bed in my back yard.  Those vegetable beds have grown in size, and number. Flowers and fruit trees have been added along the way. We introduced chickens to our garden a few years ago, and well…come to find out gardening is a passion of mine.   Not a day goes by, when I don’t indulge myself in gardening. This can range from  being in my garden, digging, weeding, planting,  dreaming about planting, looking through catalogs or magazines or gazing at what is growing.

So for the 2nd day of the 3 day quote challenge, I chose 3 gardening quotes.

I  still consider myself to be a novice gardener and have a lot to learn…

We don’t know what awaits us in life, but the possibilities are endless as we  cultivate the environment for optimal growth….

apple quote

Gardening is more than the harvest of vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers…

Gandhi quote

I nominate the following 3 people to post 1-3 quotes every day for 3 days and nominate 3 people to do the same…if they so wish.

  1. Very nice. I like the first quote the best. I feel like there is not nearly enough patience in the world these days we all need to practice more. 😊

  2. I like that you have used your gardening as a basis for a theme. Great quotes. I like your patience quote best; I have little of it and constantly need reminding of that! Nice post.

  3. I start my plants inside in May and harvest in early October…Gardening has become great therapy and I love being able to eat the things I grow, I grow flowers, too, which I don’t eat 🙂 Thank you for the nomination and I wish I had time to take the challenge. Instead, I will enjoy your offerings 🙂

    1. Thanks for your comment. There are a few edible flowers I like but yes …I think it’s wise to not eat the other flowers 🙂
Totally understand about not taking the challenge.
      Have an awesome day. ..

  4. Love Emmerson quotes and this one you have here is so appropriate in today’s environment of wanting everything now. I must confess that I need to work on patience and this is a great reminder, thank you for sharing.
